Voice quotingSay the job. Get the quote.
Tap the mic and talk the job through the way you'd explain it to the customer. QuoteMate turns what you said into an itemised quote, ready for you to check.
From what you said to a quote you can send
Tap the mic and talk
Recording starts straight away. Say who it's for, what needs doing and what it costs. Pause if the customer walks in, then carry on, or cancel and start again.
It picks out the detail
The customer's name, the job title, the address, and each piece of work with its quantity and price. Bigger jobs are grouped into sections, like first fix and second fix.
Your prices, never invented
If you say a price, it goes on the line. If you don't, the line is left blank for you to fill in. QuoteMate doesn't guess what you charge.
Check it, then send
Every word and every number can be changed on the next screen. Add a line, drop one, reword it. A quote can only go out once every line has a price.
The detail
Exactly what it does, and what it doesn't.
- Language
- English.
- How long you can talk
- There's no timer cutting you off. Describe a tap swap in a sentence or a full refurb room by room.
- What it fills in
- Customer name, job title, job address, sections, line descriptions, quantities and unit prices. A price for the whole job too, if you said one.
- Prices
- Only the ones you say out loud. Lines you didn't price are left blank.
- Wording
- Your description is tidied into clear line items. You can change any of it.
- Your recording
- It's turned into text and then thrown away. We don't keep the audio.
- Notes
- You can dictate the notes on a quote too, and have them tidied up.
- Permission
- QuoteMate asks before your first recording is sent to be transcribed.
- Connection
- You need a phone signal or wifi. Voice quoting does not work offline.
Questions
Do I have to speak in a particular way?
No. Talk the way you'd explain the job to the customer or a mate. Say the work and the prices in any order and QuoteMate sorts them into lines.
Does QuoteMate make up prices?
No. It only uses prices you say out loud. If you describe a piece of work without a price, the line is left blank for you to fill in, and the quote can't be sent until you do.
What if it gets a word or a number wrong?
You see the whole quote before anything is sent. Tap any line to change the wording, the quantity or the price.
Is my recording kept?
No. The recording is turned into text and then discarded. QuoteMate doesn't keep the audio.
Can I type instead of talking?
A new quote starts from the mic, and every line can be typed, changed or added by hand on the next screen.
Does it work with no signal?
No. QuoteMate needs a phone signal or wifi to turn your recording into a quote.
